Memory corruption in 8.09.9 release?

Description

I just tried to edit a pageelement in Asgard 8.09.9 and all I got displayed was a blank page. In Apache's error.log I found the following: 

ALERT - canary mismatch on efree() - heap overflow detected (attacker '127.0.0.1', file '/usr/share/php/midcom/lib/midcom/helper/datamanager2/formmanager.php', line 173), referer: http://localhost/__mfa/asgard/object/edit/6342bd2a4ff611dfa751698cf5a502400240/

I'm not really sure where it comes from and it doesn't happen all the time either, but I'm positive that it started with the update.

This happens on Ubuntu 8.04 with midgard installed from pear packages
